Is the Motorola Shadow the second Nexus?

I just read the engadget's article on the rumored Motorola Shadow being the second Nexus phone.

The rumored Motorola Shadow

Motorola Shadow

There are some pictures, that can of course be  fan-made renders, of the device (you can view them here: http://bit.ly/cjtoJO and here: http://bit.ly/5h3GAz).

The phone features some crazy specs, that are even higher than the ones on the Nexus One. The specs include an eight MP camera, with 1080p recording and a HDMI port. Also the screen is said to be 4.3" , the same crazy size as on the HTC HD2! The phone also features a full slide out QWERTY which looks a lot like the one found on the Motorola Droid, this is not a necessarily good thing. The keyboard of the Droid was too flat for most users and was difficult to get used to. Also there was almost no feedback on the keys at all and the directional pad was very awkward to navigate with. That unfortunately seems to be the case on the Shadow as well. The phone will most likely run version 2.0 of Android.

What comes to the design of the phone, I'm very underwhelmed. The phone is a bit ugly. Also what's the thing with that wrist strap on the side? The phone isn't a Nintendo Wii remote, there's no need for a wrist strap unless that super phone also features motion control! I think all this is fake, I could be wrong here but I think Motorola will come up with something a little different, not specs wise (at least I hope so, because 1080p recording sounds incredible) but design wise. Probably we will see something not so Droid like if this is going to be the next Google's flagship phone, a.k.a the Nexus Two.

Unreal 3 engine for Android?
Written by Rick Bonkestoter

As you might know Epic Games released thier Unreal 3-engine for the iPhone 3g and iPod. This way the games will be alot better on these devices. But what about the Android phones? We think it will be possible to release the same engine because iPhone OS and Android are based on the powerful UNIX.

But time will learn, wont it? We hope Epic Games will see that there is a market as big as the iPhone market is.

Click on "Read more" to see a sneek preview of the iPhone engine.

Microsoft Zune

Microsoft Zune

For the first time ever I have to say that Sony Ericsson is creating a hell of a phone if they use this media player. As we all know the default media player of Android is not that much. From the concept video the have made a media player which looks fresh and good. It looks a bit like the Microsoft Zune player but still manage to come off like its own.

HTC Dragon Packs 1GHz Snapdragon Processor, 800x480 Screen ?

HTC Dragon

HTC Dragon

Okay, we don't honestly expect you guys to get overly excited about the HTC Dragon because for one, we have no pictures of the device and for two, all we can offer you is a purported screenshot of the firmware build. But what we can do, is simply blow your mind away with its rumored numbers: the HTC Dragon is supposed to pack a 1GHz processor (likely the Snapdragon platform) and a 800x480 screen. Yeah, you can pinch yourself right about now.

So though we expect the HTC Dragon to be eventually amazing, our advice would be to keep the thought of the HTC Dragon for future reference(can you imagine a 1GHz processor!?) and stay excited for real Android devices coming this year like the HTC Hero, Motorola Droid, and Motorola CLIQ.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 White

Not that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 is anything official yet, but according to MobileCrunch, Sony Ericsson's first Android smartphone will not make it to the market before January 2010. While this definitely doesn't makes any sense (it's too late for holiday season and too early for the Mobile World Congress in February), that's the info MobileCrunch got from some unnamed sources. According to earlier leaked specs, the Xperia X3 (code-named Rachael)is expected to run on Android 1.6 (Donut) and features quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as dualband HSDPA/HSUPA at 900/2100 MHz, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi b/g and aGPS.

The 4" capacitive touchscreen is expected to feature WVGA (800 x 480) and it's said that the Xperia X3 comes with a massive 8 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, image stabilization, smile shutter and face detection.
