Dell announced their first Android tablet at the CES (in Las Vegas) this year, called the Dell Mini 5.

Nexus One

Google has officially announced the "Google Phone" Nexus One. This phone has a 3.7" touchscreen display with a resolution of 480x800.

On the press conference in Mountain View at Googles headquarter Google and HTC presented this phone. That it is announced didnt came as a suprise to us. The Nexus One is the first cell phone by Google for the consumer. They use the T-Mobile G1 and the HTC Magic for developer phones at this moment.

The Nexus One, designed and produced by HTC, has a amoled-screen with a screen of 3.7" and a resolution of 480x800. The average response time of the screen is 1 ms. Phone is 11.5mm deep, 119mm heigh and 59.6mm wide, it weights only 130 grams and can connect to GSM, EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA networks. There is also support for 802.11b/g/n wifi networks.

The battery of 1400mAH will deliver a speak time from 7 to 10 hours and stanby 250 to 290 hours. While watching movies the battery goes for 7 hours but while listening to music its up to 20 hours.

This phone has a Snapdragon 8250 chipset from Qualcomm which is clocked on 1GHz. It has 512MB of RAM and will come with a 4GB MicroSD card. It has a 5mp camera and the videos will be saved as MP4.

The Google Nexus One will be the first phone running on Android 2.1 with thier own Google interface. This version will also support interactive backgrounds and has the Nexus One the Google Earth application onboard. Its unkown if this application will be available for any other Android version. The Nexus One also supports accelerometer, gps and has a compas.

This phone is available in the United States with a T-Mobile plan for 180 USD and without a plan it will be 530 USD.

We found some interesting news about a new Android phone called COSMOS by General Mobile.

This is the first phone with Android 2.0 by General Mobile and has some nice specs. We dont have any details about the pricing and carriers yet. Hope to give you this information soon.

This video was recorded by Gizmodo, they had the Google Nexus One to review and what I can see in this video it is just another Android phone build by HTC. The interface is a bit different but the same basics and controls.
